Bring me more flowers for the grave
There’s another over there in need of our care
Keep ‘em coming, it ain’t gonna stop any time soon
Bring me more flowers for the grave
That boys looking lonely out there
Better give him some succour, now he’s lying out here in the cold
Bring me more flowers for the grave
Bring me rain; bring me sun to raise them up again
We’re looking for a solution to their pain
Are we the only one’s who see?
See them lying out there…….see the life within
Bring me more flowers for the grave
Oh no, there’s one over there
He looks so lonely…….and cold
Bring me more flowers for the grave
Bring me rain; bring me sun to raise them up again
Bring me the solution to their pain, it ain’t gonna stop any time soon
Bring me more flowers for the grave
There’s another, and another and another over there
They all need our care
Bring me more flowers….. for the grave
For the grave……..For the grave………….

Whilst not particularly audible the flat spoken word voice is me reading aloud from various pamphlets given to me when I was first diagnosed with Early on-set Parkinsons and then later Dystonia. The 'sung' voice is also me, reading from various scribbling's I have made over the years to help me try and come to terms with this fully invasive disorder that has, I fear, slowly but surely robbed me of everything I have ever held precious in my life. And it continues to do so.

Grey, fine powder settles on my eyes
and I cannot blink to lose the dark
I listen for you; feel for you,
but I am neither over ground nor underground
I know now I shall no longer cry from these dry eyes
and so take comfort in dust
No longer stalked by the night,
No longer chasing the day
I wait for sleep to take me away
Words by Glen Wiffen
As the North Star brings to me this night clear sky
moons of old remove the sun and day from view
so you might better see me pass like lightning in the sky.
And though you my lost and distant country
will be both wound and caress to me as I wake
to sunrise in another land be not sad
for I am off for joy eternal
Words by Nikos Gatsos, adapted by Glen Wiffen

Glen Wiffen Neath, UK
The space I inhabit I share with someone else who I now consider a friend. They are more dominant than me and at times create an environment that is abnormal to the outside world. Like all good friends though mine also creates a world that allows me to go beyond the safe environs of middle age. Disregarding the inner voice of caution I expand my horizons beyond what might be to what is. ... more
